Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a CredMe account or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use CredMe.

2. What CredMe Does

CredMe is a financial identity platform that analyses your banking and digital asset data to generate a Financial Identity Score. This score helps you understand your financial health and may be shared (with your explicit consent) with partner lenders to present loan offers.

3. Data Access & Consent

You grant CredMe read-only access to your bank account data via Mono Open Banking, a CBN-licensed Open Banking provider. We access transaction history, balance, and account identity for scoring purposes only. You may revoke access at any time from your Profile.

4. Score Accuracy

Your CredMe score is a proprietary estimate based on available financial data. It is not a credit bureau score and does not guarantee loan approval. Scores are updated automatically when new data is available.

5. Loan Offers

CredMe is a matching platform, not a lender. Loan offers shown are from independent third-party lenders. CredMe does not control their interest rates, approval decisions, or repayment terms. Always read lender terms carefully before applying.

6. User Obligations

You agree to: • Provide accurate registration information • Keep your login credentials secure • Use CredMe only for lawful personal finance purposes • Not attempt to manipulate or game the scoring system

7. Intellectual Property

All content, scoring algorithms, and designs are the intellectual property of CredMe and its licensors. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or distribute any part of the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

CredMe is provided "as is." We are not liable for loan decisions made by third-party lenders, financial losses arising from score-based decisions, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Security → Deactivate Account. CredMe may suspend accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days in accordance with our NDPR obligations.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts or via arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
